In 2019, we gained the honour of "Caring School Campus" for the second time apart from obtaining The Most Caring Teaching Team Award in the Caring School Campus Award Scheme previously. Besides, we received the honour of Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (2012/2013) in "Guidance and Discipline", "The Most Harmonious School Campus" in the competition organized by the City University of Hong Kong in 2011. School Management Organisation:
Under the school-based management framework, teachers and parents participate directly in school decision-making. The collective wisdom of school managers helps improve the teaching and learning environment as well as the effectiveness of students' learning. All managers work together to ensure better school management and enhance the performance of our school.

In 2007, the Incorporated Management Committee of the school has been established. Learning and Teaching Plan

Whole-school Language Policy:
Since the establishment of our school, we have persisted in mother-tongue teaching. To enhance students' capability of handling trilingualism is also our school major concern. We firmly believe that mother tongue is the most effective medium of instruction for our students by which they can fully acquire the subject knowledge and develop higher order thinking. Concurrently, English language learning is always a top priority. We adopt small class teaching in English subject. We are devoted to creating a favourable English learning environment for our students. By launching different English learning programmes, the English standards of our students have greatly improved.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:
We received the honour of Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (2016/2017) in “Science Education Key Learning Area”. To improve learning effectiveness through the enhancement of students' self-learning skills is our school major concern. Besides the implementation of e-learning, we also create student learning communities and equip students with learning strategies. Our teachers are responsive, hardworking, dedicated and innovative. Significant upgrading in the professional qualification of teachers can be seen. The professional development and mentorship schemes of our school encourage peer lesson observation, collaborative lesson preparation, lesson study and other informal sharing among our teachers. Catering for students' diverse learning needs, we adjust the curriculum according to students' individual differences. Cross-curricular integration is implemented to reduce overlapping content and make good use of the teaching resources. The junior secondary subject, Life and Society, aims at helping students to develop a positive understanding of oneself and to become informed and responsible citizens.

Student Support

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
Apart from fostering curriculum development and the enhancement & remedial work at different learning stages, we also cater for student diversity by collaborative teaching and varying instructional grouping, especially in English, Mathematics and Integrated Science. Besides, the adaptation of the curriculum, the design of classroom activities and the arrangement of extended learning activities as well as the peer learning groups after class time are the measures to enable more students' needs to be attended to.

Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
Our school is committed to establishing an inclusive and caring campus. The Whole School Approach is adopted to support the students with special educational needs. The Student Support Team of our school is composed of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), teachers from Discipline and Counselling Team, a social worker and an educational psychologist. Our school has utilized the Learning Support Grant to hire additional staff and procure outside professional services such as speech therapy services and tutoring services conducted by school alumni. Our school also places great emphasis on home-school cooperation. Teachers involved will communicate with the parents of students with special educational needs on a regular basis.

We conduct self-evaluation and validate the findings through external reviews. The process turns our teachers into reflective practitioners who can see their own strengths and weaknesses. Our teachers are keen to upgrade themselves through continuing professional development. As our school has become a learning community, there is momentum for sustainable development and continuing improvement.
In order to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness and strengthen teachers’ professional capacity, we have participated in the Quality School Improvement Project (QSIP) established by the Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research (HKIER) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) since 2019, in which teachers are equipped with the skills of collaborative lesson planning and observation and self-improved mechanism.

Others

We have achieved a lot over the past twenty-five years through the concerted efforts of our teachers. We first gained the honour of "Experimental School" in the UNESCO Project on Education for Environment, Population and Sustainable Development. Then, we have further gained the honour of "Example School" in the UNESCO Project on Education for Sustainable Development in China. Our teachers received the honour of Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence twice in “Science Education Key Learning Area” as well as "Guidance and Discipline". Our students also gained numerous top prizes in sports, arts and volunteer service. We have every reason to look back with pride on the awards we have won showing recognition of our contribution and commitment to education.
