Our school will not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2023 ).We admit our own students. Our S.1 intake will be opened for application in mid October 2022.

Orientation Activities and Healthy Living

We are committed to assist primary school students, especially those from Chinese primary schools to adapt to subjects using English as the medium of instruction. This includes:
1. Bridging Programme: All S.1 students will attend a Bridging Programme for two weeks during the summer holidays. Following exactly the regular school schedules, students will attend the morning assembly, classes and daily after-school review. Awards will also be given to students with the best performance in class.
2. An English language learning environment: The content of the Bridging Programme includes brief introduction of different subjects and learning skills. Assembly and class activities are conducted in English.
3. Parents' Orientation: The School provides a special orientation meeting for the parents of our S.1 students. In the meeting, parents will be informed of the S.1 curriculum and the ways how they can collaborate with the school to maximize student learning.

Whole-school Language Policy:
English is used as the teaching medium (EMI) and students are streamed according to their English proficiency. For junior secondary English classes, smaller class size of twenty-two ensures that teachers can cater to the specific needs of individual students.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:

Strive for excellence in learning: We adopt modern pedagogical strategies such as "Sharestart" and "Positive Discipline" to facilitate students’ self-directed learning in order to pursue excellent academic achievement; 2. Whole person development: we nurture students to be humble servant leaders and promote inclusive culture. 3. Develop global perspectives: Through admitting non-Chinese speaking students and exchange students from Austria, Germany and Italy, as well as organizing activities such as International Cultural Week and study tours, students are able to connect with the world. 4. Promote STEM education and Green School: Encourage students' creativity and problem solving skills; Through green learning, students can implement plans to reduce our environmental impact on the Earth through activities inside and outside of school. 5. 2. Curriculum highlights: School-wide English speaking activities will also be organised per month to inspire students' interests in learning English. There is also an English Corner that provides different English learning games and activities. Development of the Four Key Tasks:
Our vision of education is based on biblical principles, so we support Life Education and Spiritual Education. Apart from educating students in the following five areas: moral, intellect, physical, social development and aesthetics, we also foster their spiritual growth. Our purpose is to bring students up to pursue the truth, possess passion for life and be ready to serve others through Bible Knowledge lessons, religious assemblies, student fellowship and L.I.F.E. Programme.
Life Education: Life Education and Moral Education are introduced to junior and senior forms students respectively. Based on the truth taught in Bible, we examine issues related students' growth in order to educate and establish students with positive values in life. We have school assembly every week. We lead students to explore life issues related to spirituality and moral and civic education so that students can develop their own value system. We also introduce career mapping seminars and activities to prepare all of our students for further studies and career planning. Besides, we also schedule regular Christian fellowship activities.
Form Time: We have daily Form Time. Apart from handling class affairs, we lead the students to reflect on their lives and develop their spirituality.
Junior worship service on Saturdays: The junior worship service will be held on Saturdays. Believers and seekers are welcome to attend.

Life Planning Education:
The School develops a whole-school approach to life planning education starting from junior forms. Every year, we cooperate with local and overseas institutes and organizations to provide different career talks, university visits, exhibitions, career-related workshops, etc for students and parents. Through different career mapping activities and mentorship programmes, students can understand the situation of job market and search for their interested career paths so as to prepare for their career planning after the completion of senior secondary school curriculum.
The School has also set up "Parent-School Cooperation - Workplace Experience Scheme", in which parents are invited to take part in students' career planning and let students visit their workplace, providing information for students to prepare for their further career planning.

Student Support

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
This school is committed to support teachers in caring for individual student's needs. In S.1 to S.6 two form teachers are assigned to each class. Junior form English classes are further divided into smaller groups of teaching. Homework tutorials catering for students with different needs are held after school. Study groups are also provided for gifted students. The School arranges training for teachers in different teaching areas in order to cater for the students' individual learning needs.

Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
Our school aims at developing an inclusive and caring campus to support students with special needs in learning through our whole school approach. Special Education Need Support Group is set up by a team of professionals such as Vice Principal, SEN support teachers, trained teachers, counseling teachers, social workers and teaching assistants. The SEN support teachers also provide professional assistant to teachers and social workers. With the Learning Support Grant, we also hire additional staff and services of external organization, for example, focus training group, dyslexia training etc. We also cater the needs of SEN students by providing adjustments on homework, learning and examinations, psychological counseling and career planning. Through “Big Brother and Sister Scheme”, students can adapt to school life easily with the supports from the peer. We also maintain close relationship with parents in order to provide sufficient supports.

Home-School Co-operation:

Teacher Professional Training and Development:
Other than offering in-house training, we set aside resources as our training funds to subsidize teachers for their self development. In partnership with the Education Bureau and universities in Hong Kong, we provide professional support to teachers in their professional teaching and learning and personal development so that teachers can continuously reach higher professional goals.

Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, extra-curricular activities, co-curricular activities, etc.):
Our school aims at developing students’ self-directed learning through “Whole Person Development Award Scheme”, which includes four aspects: “Intelligence Development”, “Art and Physical Education Development”, “Social Service” and “Moral and Civic Education”. Besides, we provide students with a variety of activities such as service groups, school teams, different societies and interest clubs, in order to help students develop their interests, improve their fitness and experience happy school life. We build connections with schools around the world. We accommodate exchange students and arrange study tours for our students to USA, Europe, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and the Mainland etc. Students can participate in exchange programmes with our sister schools. We also invite exchange students from Italy (academic year 2017/18), Germany (academic year 2018/19) and Austria (academic year 2019/20) to study in the school for a year.
