The Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) leads the development of the school. Learning and Teaching Plan

Whole-school Language Policy:
1. We value the importance of developing students' bi-literacy and tri-lingualism and aim to enrich our language learning environment. In order to enhance students' opportunities to learn English, English is used as the Medium of Instruction in all the units in Science and selected units in Mathematics, History, Life and Society, Geography and Music in junior forms.
2. We also allocate more resources to employ 4 Native-English Teachers (NETs) to maximize students' exposure and use of English and enhance their confidence in learning English.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:
1. A strong emphasis is placed on developing students' self-regulated learning habits. Students are encouraged to do preparation before class, display learning while class and conduct reflection after class. We sincerely believe that students can master their learning when they are nurtured with the practices of self-regulated learning. With the full scale implementation of self-regulated learning starting from S.1, students are given ample opportunities to showcase their learning. Diversified learning tasks are designed to boost students' learning effectiveness through cooperative learning strategies.
2. We also promote “One Campaign” which is:
One Goal - getting into university
One Promise - purifying yourself and exercising self-control
One Habit - cultivating a consistent daily reading habit

2. Curriculum highlights: We have developed self-regulated learning, 8 Core Values Curriculum and The Leader in Me® curriculum.
(1) Self-regulated learning aims at developing students' self-study strategies and habits. Students' leadership skills are boosted as they are equipped with skills in leading group activities. They are able to help co-ordinate within groups and solve problems collaboratively.
(2) 8 Core Values Curriculum aims to instil in students the school's 8 core values including 'Honesty', 'Integrity', 'Humility', 'Gratitude', 'Sacrifice', 'Forgiveness', 'Acceptance' and 'Appreciation'.
(3) The Leader in Me® Curriculum is developed based on an internationally famous publication 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People', written by Stephen R. Covey. The comprehensive framework of the 7 Habits will empower students to make life choices that will increase their effectiveness in their studies, work and personal lives.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
1. Moral and Civic Education: We implement values education through ‘Eight Core Values Curriculum’, ‘The Leader in Me’ Curriculum, Chinese cultural activities, life-planning activities, religious activities, extra-curricular activities and so on. These activities help students build up positive values and good behaviours, enhance their self-management and collaboration abilities and develop positive attitudes towards life.
2. Reading to learn: We set a 30-minute reading lesson and students can read a wide variety of Chinese and English books. They are also encouraged to participate in different reading activities to enhance their language proficiency and enrich their knowledge.
3. Project Learning: We organize Cross-Curricular Theme-Based Learning week and a wide variety of cross-curricular activities every year. Students integrate and apply their knowledge gained both inside and outside classroom to investigate an issue so that they can broaden their horizons and develop generic skills.
4. Information Technology for Interactive Learning: We use different online learning platforms inside and outside classroom to foster students' self-learning and peer learning. Teachers adopt I.T. in education to increase students' participation in learning and conduct extended-learning activities and formative assessment so as to foster students' self-regulated learning.

1. We offer 3G (Goal, Grow, Glow) Life Planning Curriculum to all students from Secondary 1 to Secondary 6.

Student Support

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
1. With the full scale of implementation of self-regulated learning in all forms, students are encouraged to do preparation for lessons to cater for their differences in learning. Students learn in groups of four and are seated in T shape. Each group is comprised of students of mixed abilities. They support each other, learn collaboratively and, exchange and discuss ideas to complete learning tasks in lessons. More capable students deepen their learning by helping others while less capable students benefit from peer learning and thus their confidence is boosted.

2. Chinese, English and Mathematics enhancement classes are provided for students in all forms. Enrichment classes, support schemes and learning activities are organized after school or during long holidays to help boost the academic performance of students of different abilities.

Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
1. We actively cultivate an inclusive school culture by adopting the whole-school approach to support students with special educational needs. Home-School Co-operation:

Others

1. Commended with the most honorable Inviting School Gold Fidelity Award by the International Alliance for Invitational Education (IAIE) in 2015, in recognition of our active engagement in living up the spirit of invitational education, we are the first batch of schools in Hong Kong receiving this award.

2. Self-regulated learning has been actively and widely promoted in the field of education in recent years. Our school is one of the pioneer schools in implementing self-regulated learning in Hong Kong. We open our classrooms and have professional exchanges with both local and overseas teaching practitioners every year. We were awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (CEATE) in Curriculum Leadership in 2016 and English Language Education in 2019.

3. We were awarded the Most Outstanding School in the Caring School Award Scheme in 2020.

4. In 2021, our school was awarded the Best School Team in 'The North District Outstanding Student Election'. Our students were awarded the First-Runner Up in the Junior Form Group and the Second-Runner Up in the Senior Form Group. In 2022, our students were awarded the First-Runner Up in the Junior Form Group and the Champion in the Senior Form Group.
