Whole-school Language Policy:
We implement mother-tongue teaching from S.1 to S.6 (English instructional materials are used for some subjects in some classes). We encourage teachers and students to communicate through English after class. The whole-school approach to learning English is adopted in our School. Activities like debating, drama and story-telling, together with English Cafe, are used to help develop our students' biliterate and trilingual competence.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:
We emphasize self-directed learning. By teaching through activities and meaningful tasks, we aim to develop students' analytical and independent thinking abilities, and increase their learning motivation. We design our curriculum in the light of our students' needs. The discovery approach and project approach are used to induce learning. We minimize the amount of copying work and use diversified methods to assess our students. Our classrooms are equipped with computers, touch screen monitor & visualizers. We exploit high technology to support teaching and learning. We cultivate the spirit of respect for teachers, of serving the community and of self-actualization. We help students to establish a good reading habit with extensive reading schemes, self-learning reading plans, reading materials for different subjects, elections and nominations of good books, reading rooms, sharing workshops.

School-based curriculum:
1. Electives: 2X and 3X. The School provides more than 10 elective subjects for students, including Mathematics Extended Part M1 & M2.
2. Curriculum highlights:
(1) Enhancing moral education through promoting traditional Chinese culture.
(2) Creating a rich English language environment for students.
(3) Implementing STEM education by providing AI lessons and encouraging project-based learning.
(4) Enabling students to gain learning experiences in different domains with the “One Life, One Sport and One Art” programme.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
1. The use of Information Technology and Interactive Learning:
The School emphasizes on the use of Information Technology to enhance the efficiency of both teaching and learning. Classrooms are equipped with computers, tablets, touch screen monitors and visualizers. Multimedia Learning Centre and different IT equipment are all available for teaching and learning purposes. Students can access various learning resources through different online learning platforms provided by the school.
2. Reading to Learn:
To promote students’ interest in reading, the school library endeavours to expand our volumes based on students’ interests and needs. Through different types of activities such as afternoon-reading session and book report competition, students’ interest in reading are further boosted.
3. Moral, Civic, and National Education:
The School organizes voluntary works, visits, talks and study tours to strengthen students’ civic consciousness. Besides, the School focuses on counseling and moral education, and provides ample support and care to students on their growth.
4. Project Learning:
The School emphasizes on fostering students’ ability in conducting independent enquiry through project learning, and on guiding them to find their best way of learning.

Life Planning Education:
1. Design a personalized life-planning scheme for each student, and instruct them on setting life goals and future plans.
2. Direct students on deepening their self-understanding and planning various life goals and reinforce sentimental education.
3. Implement comprehensive student support through moral education and counselling.
4. Enrich students’ learning experiences beyond the constraints of a physical classroom and normal school hours through diversified academic and non-academic activities.
