Whole-school Language Policy:
1. English is adopted as the medium of instruction in the subjects of Mathematics and Science in some classes in junior forms; while Extended English Learning Activities are implemented in other academic subjects, including Life and Society, History, Computer & Information Technology, Geography and Business Fundamentals; 2. English is adopted as the medium of instruction in the subjects of Mathematics, Citizenship and Social Development, Liberal Studies, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics and BAFS in some groups in senior forms.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:
1. Through implementing the homework policy, students are encouraged to form good learning habits;
2. Students are respected as individual learners and are trained to develop self-learning skills;
3. Students are taught with a variety of learning methods and guided to increase their own knowledge;
4. Daily-life topics are used to stimulate students' learning interests and broaden their outlook and knowledge of the world;
5. Formative assessments are conducted to enable students to know their learning progress, and appropriate feedback is given by teachers;
6. In accordance with the curriculum guidelines issued by the Curriculum Development Committee, school-based curriculums are prepared for teaching purposes. While teaching, subject teachers also consider students' learning ability and differences to adjust teaching progress;
7. Both the English and Chinese Departments implement small-class teaching at different levels to raise students' language proficiency and take care of learning differences;
8. Life and Society is taught in junior forms in order to prepare students for studying Citizenship and Social Development in senior forms;
9. STEM education is conducted to cultivate students' spirit of inquiry for scientific research and it also aims to fully unleash students' potential in innovation; and 10. Gifted education is implemented in order to teach students according to their aptitude and to cultivate students to have a long-term and broader vision.

School-based curriculum:
1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Using block time-tabling to maximise the number of subject combinations to be offered to students. Refer to our school website for details.
2. Curriculum highlights: To meet students' learning needs, school-based tailor-made curriculums are implemented in the subjects of Chinese, English and Mathematics. In addition, English Language Arts is provided to junior classes so as to improve their English proficiency.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
1. Moral Education and Civic Education: To promote moral education and civic education based on Christian values, the School conducts lessons and activities such as Life Education, class teacher periods, assemblies, Life & Society lessons and Christian Education lessons.
2. Reading: There are both Chinese and English Reading lessons in junior forms. Each year, there are reading activities such as book fairs, book talks and reading programmes. The School has also set up a ‘Book Crossing Corner’ to create an atmosphere of reading.
3. Theme-based Projects: Through the activities of Personal, Social and Humanities Education and the school-based STEM Project, students will integrate and apply cross-curricular knowledge and skills.
4. Information Technology: Through online learning platforms, e-teaching resource banks and the Bring Your Own Device scheme etc., students’ information and technology literacy and self-directed learning will be cultivated.

Life Planning Education:
We aim at providing suitable career planning activities catering for students in different forms.
1. Junior form: Assemblies and workshops will be held to help the students better understand themselves and guide them towards positive thinking.
2. Senior form: Students will be visiting the HKTDC Education & Career Expo and participate in the "Career Interest Inventory". Through the “Mentoring programme”, students will learn to plan for their future careers.
3. Studying in Taiwan: In order to provide students with a greater chance to further their studies in Taiwan, our school has formed an alliance with several universities in Taiwan including, Chung Yuan Christian University and Ming Chuan University. We have held study tours and visits to Taiwan. In these years, our students have received conditional offers from National Cheng Kung University, Taipei National University of Arts and etc.
4. Working with parents: We hold annual talks on student multiple pathways for parents. Parents have the opportunity to discuss with our teachers their children’s elective choices and career pathways after graduation.
