The adoption of mother-tongue teaching in our junior secondary curriculum helps boost both the confidence and interest of students in learning. Immense efforts, including resources allocation, adaptation of successful overseas cases and teaching methodologies, have also been put to enhance the English standard of our students. On a gradual basis, our junior secondary curriculum is strategically designed to increase students’ exposure to English. In addition, we run small English classes and after-school remedial courses for our junior students. With the provision of morning reading periods, extensive reading scheme, speech festivals, activities with our native English teacher in English Learning Centre and other English activities, our students are given ample chances to better their English in an appropriate language environment in the campus.
