Learning and Teaching Plan
Whole-school Language Policy:
The school implements streaming strategy to help students of different abilities. The curriculum and assessments are tailored to cater for varied needs.
The school-based MOI arrangement
In elite classes in junior forms, Mathematics is delivered in English. To build students’ vocabulary and enhance their competitive edge in the long run, almost all subjects in junior forms include 25% English components in the curriculum and assessment. In senior forms, 10% daily assessment is based on their English performance in other subjects.
Learning and Teaching Strategies:
We promote whole-school approach "paradigm teaching" and "self-directed learning" to give students more practical opportunities. In order to enhance students' ability in advanced learning, we develop systematic lessons preview platform and help them to form notes-taking habit.
In junior forms, students are expected to attain a solid foundation in the core subjects and develop diversified learning interests in daily context. In senior forms, to prepare for the forthcoming tertiary education, students are trained to master self-learning skills which enhance intellectual capacity. To further enhance the teaching effectiveness, Lesson Study has become a regular practice in the school.
Extensive reading sessions are implemented at all levels. Reading promotion projects such as book exhibitions and award schemes are launched. The school library plays a significant role in establishing a multi-media independent learning environment. The school library also serves as an evening study centre to develop student self learning habits.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
Project Learning and Life Wide Learning activities are held to develop students' critical thinking and generic skills. 'Day Camps', 'Over-night Camps', 'Overseas Study Tours' are organised to enrich students' life experiences and broaden their horizons.
In line with the civic and moral education requirements of the EDB, we strive to shape moral and ethical behaviors in our students. During our Morning Assemblies, Whole-person Development Sessions and Weekly Assemblies, we conduct lessons to create a caring school and enhance students' sense of belonging.
IT teaching is one of our school’s major strengths. Whole-school implements BYOD this year. Students bring their own electronic learning device, such as iPads to school for enhancing the effectiveness of learning. Our school is well equipped with a wide range of IT equipment too. We have 14 computer servers, 2 computer rooms, and in each classroom we have 1 updated computer with the latest software, plus 1 visualizer in each classroom. We also have 2 full class sets of iPad available to all teaching staff at any time. In addition, Campus TV programs are produced by different subjects and committees. Online self-study platforms provide an extensive question bank for senior form students to prepare for the public examination. Last but not least, we start to establish a creative learning center to develop students' creativity and IT skills.
Life Planning Education:
In addition to taking care of S.6 students' career and study needs, our school provides a systematic career planning curriculum and activities for all students, including self-understanding, aptitude tests, alumni career sharing, S.3 simulation community programme, working experience programs and Life Buddies Mentoring Programme for senior students. We also provide a trial working experience program, post-secondary trial course programs, mock interviews, DSE result release day simulation, and many more.

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
A lift is available for students with physical needs. The school arranges both enhancement and remedial classes for different abilities. Students are streamed in accordance with their learning needs.
Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
The school has a Special Education Group consisting of teachers and assistants from the counseling department, discipline department, counselors, social worker, Education psychologist and Clinical psychologist. The Counseling mistress, Ms Chun Bo-chun, and the SEN department Coordinator, Ms Wong Tsz-mei actively assist students in need of special care. The school provides a variety of learning programmes and training courses, e.g. high-order thinking courses, language training courses which strive to ensure that the physical, psychological and educational needs of students are well-catered for.

Home-School Co-operation:
The PTA of our school strives to provide various support to students and parents in different aspects. A variety of programs are held to enhance the communication of the two generations. 'Parent Workshops' are held annually to provide hands-on experience in nurturing children.
School Ethos:
Positive relationships are established among students and teachers, parents and the school. Students are well-disciplined. Remedial classes for weak students, counseling service on subject selection for senior form students have been well-established. Students are also provided with pastoral care by the School Chaplain to grow spiritually.
