Our Lady's College is a Aided Girls secondary school located in Hong KongThe school was founded in 1953. The school is located in Wong Tai Sin, and covers an area of approximately 6600 square meters. The supervisor/chairman of the school management committee is Tso Enid Sister,And the principal is Lim Lai Ling Amy Sister (Master of Education). The sponsoring body of Our Lady's College is Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters) and is a Catholicism school. The mission of the school: "The school promotes whole person education through implementing the Preventive System of St. John Bosco (Reason, Religion, Loving-kindness) and fostering students' academic, moral and spiritual development. It offers students a great variety of activities and learning experiences to enrich their school life. School Management Organisation:
The school adopts school-based management and values communication and collaboration at different levels. School Development Committee, consisting of appointed teachers as members, discuss and formulate plans and policies for school development. It leads 3 policy divisions: Academic Development, Student Development, School Administration and Management. Staff meetings are held regularly to foster consensus and coordination.

It comprises representatives from the Sponsoring Body, the Principal, teachers, parents, past pupil and independent person to ensure the school is managed according to the mission statement of the Catholic religion and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.

Whole-school Language Policy:

Learning and Teaching Strategies:
The school provides students with a harmonious and good learning ambience. It offers a broad and balanced curriculum. On top of formal curriculum, activity days are held to promote life-wide learning to broaden students’ horizons. The school promotes a student-oriented teaching mode and adopts diversified strategies. There are enhancement classes for S1 to S3 to raise the learning capacity of high achievers. Homework guidance classes and Chinese, English and Mathematics enrichment classes are run in the junior levels to cater for students' learning needs. For S1-S3, Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics, S5-S6 Chinese Language and English Language, small group leaning is arranged so as to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness. To foster a proper learning attitude among students, attitude marks are allocated in the assessment component for all subjects.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
Reading to Learn:
Our teacher librarian collaborates with various subject panels in enhancing a proactive reading culture at school and helping students develop their reading habits and interests as well as their self-learning abilities. We promote reading across the curriculum through Chinese and English extensive reading schemes and e-reading programmes. A variety of reading activities such as book clubs, author talks, book recommendations and book fairs are organized. Students are encouraged to participate in territory-wide reading events like Reading Carnival, Reading Contract and Top Ten Book Picks.

Information Technology for Interactive Learning:
e-Learning is implemented in all subjects. Students are encouraged to make good use of online learning platforms for self-directed learning.

Spiritual and Character Formation:
We have been educating students according to St. John Bosco’s educational principles. We strive to nourish their spiritual lives and instill in them Catholic core values. Besides, we put great emphasis on students’ character formation. In addition to the Ethics and Religious Education curriculum, a variety of moral education activities are organized to cultivate students’ moral values and help them build a positive self-image as well as nurturing positive values and attitudes in them.

A wide variety of life-wide learning activities are organized to encourage students to extend their learning experience beyond the classroom, broadening their horizons.

Life Planning Education:
The school implements a whole-school life planning education programme. A series of activities are organized to help students of different forms understand their interests and strengths in order to plan their future career paths. Academic support measures for students include enhancement classes, small class teaching in Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics, after-school Chinese, English and Mathematics enrichment classes, homework guidance classes and gifted education.

Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
With the Learning Support Grant, our school implements various support measures to cater for the learning needs and growth of students with special educational needs including student counseling services, career and life planning workshops, after-school individual and small group tutorial classes. Our school also encourages teachers to attend the training courses of ‘Special Educational Needs - 3 Tier Model’ to update their knowledge and skills so as to build the foundation for an inclusive campus.

Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment:
To enhance learning and teaching effectiveness, formative and summative assessments are equally emphasized. Summative assessment is conducted through uniform tests and examinations. Diverse modes of formative assessment are also employed such as daily performance in class, learning attitude, homework, project learning, quizzes, peer evaluation and self-evaluation. At the junior levels, Chinese, English and Mathematics classes are split into smaller learning groups to facilitate small class teaching. In addition, S1-S3 enrichment classes in Chinese, English and Mathematics are organized after school to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos

Home-School Co-operation:
Apart from monthly circulars, the school publishes a newsletter 'Bridge' regularly. The PTA members volunteer to help distribute lunch boxes, monitor the quality and operation of the suppliers, and organize different activities such as tea gatherings, talks, outdoor activities to enhance communication between the parents and the school.

School Ethos:

~~~ Mentorship Programme, Academic Enhancement Programme and Social Entrepreneurship School Programme ~~~

The Past Pupil Association, which has always been playing an active role in making significant contributions to give back to its alma mater. Its particular focus is to enhance students’ academic performance and develop skills needed to get on in life. It is also hoped that through various interactions, a strong alumnae bonding would be developed and, hence, contributing to communities.

* Mentorship Programme: Alumnae are invited to act as Mentors for S3 to S6 students, imparting knowledge of different professions, sharing life experience and offering them advice on further education and future careers.

* Academic Enhancement Programme: Alumnae who bear professional knowledge are invited to pass on their skills to students, for instance, English speech training and curriculum vitae writing workshop. These workshops aim to develop students’ confidence and ability in expressing themselves in English. Scholarships are offered to students to recognize their academic achievements. Sponsorship is also provided for overseas study tours so as to broaden students’ horizons and enhance their English language proficiency.

* Social Innovation Campus Programme: It aims to nurture students’ positive personality traits and enrich their understanding towards social innovation and entrepreneurship. It is hoped that students will develop a sense of empathy so as to care for others and society.
