Whole-school Language Policy:
Our school emphasizes the promotion of students’ biliterate and trilingual abilities, in particular achieving excellence in both English and Chinese languages. We provide different opportunities to cater for the diverse language needs and abilities of our students. English is adopted as the medium of instruction in some non-language subjects in some classes, as total immersion, to pave the way for students to the Senior Secondary Curriculum and to future studies. In the same way, Chinese is adopted as the medium of instruction to students who benefit most from it while extended learning activities are added to stretch their English potential. To enrich every student’s exposure to English, there are various fun-filled activities to cultivate a language rich environment and a Drama-in-Education junior curriculum has been implemented to promote students’ interests to learn English in an experiential and creative manner.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:
1. We endeavour to cultivate reading habits in our students, conducive to their life-long learning. There are a wide variety of reading activities such as Reading Periods, Book Displays, Reading Award Schemes, Book Sharing Activities from writers, students and teachers, Best Book Recommendations, The Readers Club, and The On-line Reading Platform to promote the reading culture.
2. STEM education is promoted to nurture students' creativity and problem-solving skills.
3. Different subjects adopt the Inquiry Approach, Cooperate Learning and e-Learning to develop students' generic skills, in particular communication, collaboration, critical thinking and information technology skills.
4. Beyond the classrooms, different activities are held to enhance students’ learning abilities and effectiveness. Alumni with top DSE scores or with successful experience from studies and work are invited to give advice to current students. To cater for learners’ diversity, there are different enrichment and tutorial courses for students at different levels to stretch their potential in different subjects. There are also Learning Skills Workshops, Homework Support Scheme and Pre-examination Revision Week to develop in students good study habits.

School-based curriculum:
1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, History, Chinese History, Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (Accounting), Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (Business Management) and Visual Arts.
2. Curriculum highlights:
(1) The Chinese language department works in conjunction with the School Library to hold the "Audiobook Scheme" to cultivate students interest in reading and to enhance their abilities and competence in text appreciation through reading aloud, using the works of famous authors.
(2) Mathematics and Liberal Studies/Citizenship & Social Development promote e-Learning.
(3) The English Language department joined the Jockey Club's "Flipped Classroom Scheme" to promote diverse and interactive learning, using a range of different and varied learning strategies.
(4) The Science curriculum is developed holistically to promote Science process skills and English language skills.
(5) Chinese Language, Life and Society, Citizenship & Social Development, Liberal Studies, History, Chinese History, Mathematics, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, Visual Arts and Music jointly develop 'Self-directed Learning Curriculum'.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
1. Our school uses different assessment strategies to address the different abilities of students to promote assessment for learning and provide challenges for top students.
2. Through Diverse Learning Grant, gifted students are provided with learning programmes offered by academic bodies. There are also various school-based development programmes to nurture students’ talents such as debate skills.
3. Information and Technology is adopted in different subjects to promote interactive learning with the use of educational applications, tablets and the Classroom Management Platform.
4. To promote Reading to Learn, the Peer English Reading Scheme facilitates senior students to help junior students to read non-fiction readers prescribed by the English Cross-curricular Reading Scheme.

Life Planning Education:
Different life planning activities both outside and inside classes are organized to enable students to gain a better understanding of themselves. To prepare them for university studies, they are equipped with interview skills and provided with different seminars to establish their goals in studies and ultimately in the workplace to realize their dreams. To make the right careers choices, students are also provided with rich career-related experiences through different activities such as marketing tactics workshops, TV Production Workshops and Youth Holiday Employment Scheme.
