Student Support

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
Through adopting the 'whole school' approach, together with small group teaching, tailor made teaching syllabuses and materials, counseling classes, after school tutorials, pre-exam practices and subject improvement plans as well as various socially enhancing experiential activities, individual differences in each class are catered for. Different kinds of measures are planned by Educational Psychologists. The ratio of social worker to students is lowered through the hiring of an extra social worker to work with our current stationing social worker. Our care to students is hence more comprehensive.

Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
Led by the School Principal, the Students' Support Group is established with the collaboration between the school assistant principal, SEN coordinator, Head of Academic Department, Head of Examinations and Assessments, Head of Student Support, Panel Heads of core subjects and School Social Workers. Professionally supported and aided by Educational Psychologist and Speech Therapist, students with SEN are well taken care of. Learning support grant is flexibly used to provide timely and suitable support to students with special needs. Apart from the outsourcing professional service, social workers, student support staff and teaching assistant are hired to provide student support learning activities and career planning service for students. Our school runs 'Individual Education Plan' for students with special educational needs through meetings between Educational Psychologist, teachers and parents. At the same time, adjustments and alterations in examinations and assessments are provided.
