Orientation Activities and Healthy Living
Parents' Day, S.1 Bridging Program, S.1 Orientation Day and S.1 Adaptation Programme are designed to help new students adapt to their new school life.
There are two school canteens serving students and teachers. Compulsory Lunch Programme helps S.1 students to cultivate good eating habits. School Canteen Management Committee consists of parent representatives who give advice to the canteen manager to ensure students eat healthily. Our 14,000 square meter school campus is spacious. There are 5 basketball courts, 31 classrooms and 27 special rooms, such as a library, 3 computer rooms, a geography room, 2 H.E. rooms, 2 visual arts rooms, 2 religious rooms, 7 laboratories and 1 STEM lab etc. With the completion of the new 7-storey multi-functional annex, the school provides quality education and equips our students well to face challenges of the 21st century. There is an auditorium, a computer room, a music room, a dance room, a student activity centre and a conference room, etc. A new student gym room has been built for fulfilling the need of Other Learning Experiences. All students stay in school for lunch, which is prepared by 2 school canteens.

Learning and Teaching Plan
Whole-school Language Policy:
We have a vision of "Trilingualism & Quadrilingualism". We aim at maximizing our students' opportunities in learning English and Putonghua both inside and outside school. For English Language, a variety of English learning activities such as English Drama Club, English is Fun Day and cross-subjects English learning are organized to reinforce the use of English in students’ daily lives. For Putonghua, there are Putonghua oral speaking activities and game booths as well as inter-class and inter-school competitions. The school also trains students for the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival and many other open events. Spanish is offered to all S.1 to S.3 students, which aims to maximize students' exposure to a multi-lingual environment. Our school offers Spanish as an elective subject in S.4 and S.5.
Learning and Teaching Strategies:
Rosaryhill Secondary School offers a broad and balanced curriculum, which meets the entrance requirement of universities and caters for the interests and needs of students. To enhance the language competency of our students, Mathematics and Science are taught in English. In recent years, the overall English Language subject results of our students in HKDSE (level 2 or above and level 4 or above) are higher than that of the territory. Individual core subject in the senior form is offered with both Chinese and English as the MOI. After school enhancement lessons are arranged to prepare students for the public examination. Chinese as a Second Language is offered to Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) students. In Senior-level, NCS students can choose to take HKDSE Chinese Language or to obtain Alternative Qualification(s) in Chinese Language (ACL) in Applied Learning Chinese and related public examinations. Students' moral qualities are greatly enhanced through our Spiritual Education. Students are given many opportunities to excel themselves. Development of the Four Key Tasks:
To cultivation of positive values and attitudes, our school makes use of everyday life events and Life Education Periods to strengthen and enhance the connection among various cross-curricular domains in values education, including moral and ethical education, civic education, national education, Basic Law education, anti-drug education, life education, sex education, education for sustainable development. "Reading to learn” has been consistently carried out in the school. Our library has a wide collection of around 25,000 physical books. Besides, we also subscribe to electronic reading resources from HKedCity, HyRead, eLibrary Plus and cross-curricular learning platform. Students participated actively in Chinese and English Book Report Competitions with outstanding results and certificates. From 2016 to 2022, our school was awarded Yan Chai Hospital Moral and Civic Education Award for six consecutive years. We have made a school-based Moral and Civic Education Booklet to recommend 100 books related to 10 priority values. The school also implements "Experiential Learning Week" every year in order to promote cross-curricular collaboration and learning. Not only do students learn and apply project learning and e-learning skills, but their study skills, presentation skills and creativity are also enhanced. The electronic learning platform "eClass" and "Google Classroom" have long been used as communication channels in the school. Learning resources, assignments and notices are issued and retrieved through these means.
Life Planning Education:
Our school’s Career and Life Planning Team provides students with latest information on higher education and post-secondary pathways. Student Support
Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
A team of experienced teachers is responsible for Inclusive Education, allowing students to realize differences among people and learn to care for others. Students are allocated to the group that best meets their abilities during Chinese, English and Mathematics lessons. There are different after-school enhancement lessons for various groups of students, like Chinese and Mathematics lessons for Non-Chinese speaking students and English lessons for newly arrived children.
Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
Our School has established Student Support Team to support students with special education needs. We encourage teachers to take related courses to enhance their capacities in catering for SENs. Our school uses ‘Learning Support Grant’ and ‘Grant for Supporting Non-Chinese Speaking Students with Special Educational Needs’ flexibly by hiring a counsellor and teaching assistants to cater for students with SEN. In collaboration with the professionals, such as speech therapist, school-based educational psychologist, counselling psychologist and school social workers, learning and training programmes for students with special needs are carried out to facilitate students’ development. We invite parents to participate in the meetings with teachers and the professionals to set up and review Individualized Education Program for students.

PTA scholarship awards students who strive for excellence while PTA fund supports the installation of learning facilities and activities. Teachers structure their own professional development plan at the beginning of each academic year. In addition to professional sharing done by individual departments and KLAs, Professional Development Team facilitates in-school professional exchange and teachers’ reflections at different levels, namely (a) individual teacher level; (b) Panel Head level; and (c) inter-KLA and Departmental level. Teachers also build shared knowledge, skills and attitude on the latest educational development by learning together on Teacher Development Days.
