Learning and Teaching Plan

Whole-school Language Policy:
To help raise the standard of Chinese and English of our students, Chinese is taught in Mandarin in some junior form classes and an English-rich environment is created with a variety of English activities.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:
Our school believes learning is a process in which knowledge is explored, issues are discussed and experience is accumulated. We have different modes of learning including project learning, issued-based learning, STEM and multi-disciplinary study. To widen students' exposure, life-wide learning activities are organised. Reading is promoted across the forms through reading sessions every Wednesday and Friday.

School-based curriculum:
1. Electives: 3X. Students can take 2 or 3 out of 11 elective subjects.
2. Curriculum highlights: School-based curriculum was designed for Language Across the Curriculum, History, Computer Literacy, LKWhy/Kwun Tong and Chemistry in junior forms.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
Moral & Civic Education: Students' values are developed and their vision is widened through formal & informal curriculum. Reading to Learn: Reading sessions are arranged. Other activities including book sharing, book exhibitions and extensive reading schemes are organized to encourage students to read. Project Learning helps cultivate students' motivation and develop their generic skills in the preparation for Citizenship and Social Development in the new secondary syllabus. The aim of introducing Information Technology in the formal curriculum is to equip students with the necessary skills and the right attitude towards the use of IT tools. A school-based learning platform is also available for interactive learning.

Life Planning Education:
