Secondary One Entrance
Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2023 ).Consideration for admission is based on the applicants' examination results in Chinese, English and Mathematics. In addition, students are required to have good conduct marks/grades (B or above) and their performance in interviews will also be taken into consideration. Criteria of admission:

Orientation Activities and Healthy Living
In addition to orientation programmes for students and parents, the school also provides a bridging course and extracurricular activities experience day for students. The bridging course includes English, Chinese, Mathematics, Science, and guidance lessons to prepare students for their new school lives both socially and academically.

Our school boasts a beautiful campus adorned with plants and flowers. Our indoor premises including the classrooms, the covered playground, and the school hall are air-conditioned, complete with computerized facilities and Wi-Fi access. To facilitate students' learning, we have installed over 100 computers in our computer rooms, the multi-media learning centre (MMLC), and the library. We have purchased tablet computers to promote interactive teaching and learning. The school has also set up an e-learning platform and subscribe to the HyRead ebook service to provide students with a conducive learning environment. The newly introduced STEM Nurturing Scheme aims at budding potential science enthusiasts while the refurbished STEM Activity Room and Biotechnology Activity Room provides a safe and pleasant environment for carrying out science projects and research.

School Management Organisation:
The school operates with a school-based management system. The school will take parents', teachers' and students' opinions into consideration in the process of policy-making and the implementation as such. Further discussions among the executive committee members lead to final decision-making, implementation and review of school policies. The overall process is open, fair and closely supervised by the IMC.

School Green Policy:
Our school's green policy is to educate our students to care for the Earth and fully utilize resources. Through adopting a clear policy on environmental protection and encouraging students to take part in different activities, we proactively promote the notion of sustainable development and carry out related programmes accordingly. The policy includes Environmental Protection Leadership Nurturing Programme, ‘Go Green’ Programme (setting up an area for gardening and a green roof) and Promotion of Environmental Protection (formulation of recycling and energy-saving policies, instilling the value of environmental protection, holding workshops and field trips). Learning and Teaching Plan
Whole-school Language Policy:
We put great emphasis on our biliterate trilingual education. We attach equal importance to mother-tongue learning and students' competence in English and Putonghua. In order to improve students' English competence, selected modules in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, History, and Geography are taught in English in designated junior-form classes. English learning materials are incorporated in different subjects to enhance students' training in English. We foster a biliterate trilingual learning environment through regular activities such as English and Putonghua morning assemblies, English Reading Week, and participation in the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival and the Hong Kong School Drama Festival.
Learning and Teaching Strategies:
In accordance with the school ethos - "I seek, I act", we aim to nurture our students' attitude for active learning and equip them with the ability to construct knowledge for themselves. Through providing students with varied and all-round learning experiences, we help students develop an inquisitive attitude to learning, the nine generic skills, and become independent life-long learners. In order to strengthen learning support, students are allocated to different classes / teaching groups according to their abilities and standards, so as to address different educational needs.
School-based curriculum:
1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Senior secondary students may choose to enroll in two or three elective subjects after taking their own aptitude into consideration. We offer a wide range of Other Learning Experiences (OLE) , including music, religion, life and career planning, new media, personal financial planning, etc. to broaden students' horizons. To cater for diverse learning needs, students can enroll in Applied Learning (ApL) courses through the school.
2. Curriculum highlights: Our junior secondary curriculum encompasses various key learning areas, with a view to prepare and bridge students for the senior secondary curriculum. Subject syllabi are adapted according to students' aptitude, with measures such as incorporation of school-based elements and cross-curricular collaboration to cater for learner diversity and enhance learning efficacy.

Reading Scheme
We strive to cultivate a reading culture in school with a host of regular activities, award schemes, and scholarships. In addition, we advocate e-reading, and have set up an e-library to encourage online self-directed learning and nurture students' ability in language learning and self-directed learning.
Project Learning
The school works to nurture students' research skills. STEM activities are incorporated into our S.1 syllabus, which aims to cultivate students' inquisitiveness. Elements of project learning are embedded in the syllabi of various subjects to boost students' motivation and competence to direct their own learning.
Interactive Learning through Information Technology
With the installation and full coverage of Wi-Fi and the implementation of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy, students' e-learning is better facilitated. Our teachers utilize interactive online teaching platforms and teaching and learning apps such as LoiLoNote and Nearpod to arouse students' interests in learning. To encourage students to fully utilize the Internet for learning, we have compiled a wealth of online resources to facilitate students' self-directed learning. Our teachers also provide "Flipped Classroom" (lesson preview) videos to facilitate learning outside the classroom to further enhance learning effectiveness.
Moral, Positive and Civic Education
Our school emphasizes the importance of students' integral development. Elements of moral, positive and civic education are also included in all syllabi to instill proper moral values and a positive attitude in students. Moral and civic education is also embedded in the curricula of different subjects. We encourage our students to offer their services to the school Volunteer Team and develop a sense of social harmony, care and responsibility.
Life Planning Education:
We put great emphasis on our students' career and life planning education. Starting from their junior secondary forms, we help students understand their aptitude and interests through our school-based curriculum, talks, and job tasting programmes, and thereby make informed elective subject choices for their senior secondary studies. For our senior secondary students, in addition to general consultation on further studies, we also offer life and career planning counselling and mock JUPAS / E-APP selection to S.5 and S.6 students, to help them plan their own pathway for further studies and prepare themselves for tertiary education.

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
We tailor our school-based curricula to cater for students with different abilities and needs. We provide our academically gifted students with a more challenging syllabus, whilst we ensure students with special educational needs are able to consolidate their knowledge through spiral training. We help students of different abilities learn continuously and progress steadily through a range of measures, including our streaming system, group learning, individual tutoring, various after-school enhancement and remedial courses, development programmes for the gifted and elite students, as well as our learning-outside-classroom strategies. Through all this assistance, students of different levels can attain academic improvement continuously. We also offer individual counselling and group activities to students who need holistic support for their social, familial and academic development.
Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
To facilitate Inclusive Education, we have adopted a whole school approach by setting up the Student Support Committee to coordinate the related work, forming groups or individual follow-up sessions for students with special educational needs, and keeping in touch in a timely manner with parents to help with the development of our students. Home-School Co-operation:
We value communication with parents. Meetings with and talks for parents are held regularly to develop mutual understanding on students’ academic progress and whole-person development. Through these activities, we have a better understanding of parents' opinions, thereby enhancing teaching and learning effectiveness. Our Parent-Teacher Association is staffed by a committee of earnest and caring parent volunteers. It also serves to bridge communication between the school and parents to foster close and fruitful partnerships. Various activities are held regularly, such as family picnics, family communication seminars, yoga workshops, bakery classes, and so on.

Our school is dedicated in the education of science, technology, and innovation. Our motto "I seek, I act" is the epitome of the spirit we instill in our students. Our students have been performing with flying colours in various local and international competitions. We have represented Hong Kong to participate in the China Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest (CASTIC) on eleven occasions during 2004 to 2020, winning numerous awards over the course. In 2011, our school was named one of ten Intel Schools of Distinction in China, the first secondary school in Hong Kong to be honoured with such a title. Our team of student engineers is nine-time representative of Hong Kong during 2005 to 2020 in the International Science and Engineering Fair organized by the Society for Science and the Public, USA. Over the years, our team has been highly commended with various awards in the Fair.
