Chinese is adopted as the medium of instruction for effective learning and teaching. By hosting morning assemblies in English and Putonghua, participating actively on English Days and in various English activities, developing reading habits and promoting a good language environment, our students are given ample chances to enhance their mastering of "bi-literacy and trilingualism" in a language-rich school campus. At junior levels, extra support is offered to enhance students' interest in learning English. Enhanced English training, together with extended learning activities in English are implemented in non-language subjects.

In addition to the core syllabus, a diverse school-based curriculum is provided to cater for students of different learning needs.
Morning reading sessions are held twice a week throughout the year as well as Reading Week, Reading Award Programme and subject-based reading programme are held to promote good reading habits.
In Secondary one and Secondary two, an extra tenth lesson is specifically introduced to strengthen students' skills in self-directed learning.
Various extra-curricular activities are also organized to foster students’ interest and broaden their horizons. In keeping with this policy, the school has established an Innovation Laboratory which aims to cultivate students' interest and ability in STEM to unleash their creativity.

School-based curriculum:
1. Electives: 2X. (Including subjects of the Science, Technology, PSHE, and Arts Key Learning Areas as well as Applied Learning subjects). Elective groups are arranged according to the interests and abilities of students.
2. Curriculum highlights: A diverse school-based curriculum can help explore, cater for and realize the potential of students, which enables better and earlier career and life planning.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
To cater for students’ learning diversity and to enhance their learning effectiveness, our school employs flexible teaching and learning methods. Through electronic teaching, we strengthen students’ motivation and teacher-student interaction. We devise graded exercises to help students grasp the content knowledge. We provide junior students with exposure to English with our English cross-curriculum extended learning activities. We participate in QEF projects organized by Tertiary Institutes (Chinese Language) and SEED projects organized by EDB (English Language and Mathematics) to increase students’ learning incentive. Through STEM learning activities, students learn to integrate and apply skills across disciplines. We boost students’ confidence and motivation by organizing workshops as well as activities and displaying their learning outcomes. We develop students’ interest in reading through a variety of reading programmes. During the on-going COVID-19 outbreak, we continue to offer lessons to cross-border students with Microsoft Teams. We encourage students to use the online learning platform to extend learning after class and expand students’ learning space. We also acknowledge students’ persistence and positive attitudes in learning with commendation schemes.
Our school strengthens students’ Value Education by implementing Class Teacher Period, Life Education, Flag Raising Ceremony, Speeches under the National Flag and various competitions. Students will be nurtured to be law-abiding and have deep cultural roots. A good attitude of respecting oneself and others thus cultivated can help further in building up their national identity. Through mutual collaboration among KLAs and whole-school participation, students can experience how to show their empathy, care for others, cooperate with social organizations and serve the community. Through competitions, sharing sessions, lectures, leadership training programmes and service-to-learn programmes, students will develop to be courageous, responsible and ready-to-serve youth who possess a good quality of self-confidence, perseverance and proactiveness.

Life Planning Education:
We aim to enable our students to understand their own interests, personality traits, and capabilities so that they can explore various possible pathways for further studies and career development and thus suitably scaffold their life-planning. We also source relevant information about further studies and career aspirations for students to make informed choices, widen their horizons and equip them with career-related learning experiences so that they can set their own study and career goals.
