Orientation Activities and Healthy Living

Pre-F.1 Parents Orientation Day is arranged to introduce the mission, special features and curriculum of the school. In order to help students adapt to their secondary school life, our school organizes Chinese, English and mathematics bridging courses, and different types of workshops (including e-learning, self-directed learning, discipline training, etc.) during the summer vacation. We also conduct physical fitness tests for students to select sports teams for summer training.

At the beginning of each school year, the Counselling Committee organizes a series of support programmes and adventure-based training camps for students to enhance their self-confidence and team spirit so that they may adapt quickly to secondary school life. Our school puts a lot of emphasis on promoting healthy lifestyle. For example, the courses on Physical Education, Technology and Living and Life Education enable students to develop their physical and mental health positively.

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
1. Students are streamed according to their academic abilities, and some subjects are taught in small groups to cater for learner diversity.
2. The school adopts a whole-school comprehensive approach to cater for students’ needs through the close collaboration of the Academic Committee, Discipline Committee, Guidance Committee, Student Support Team and class teachers as well as the professional support from our school social workers, educational psychologist and speech therapist.

Our Mathematics Panel Head has been awarded the 12th Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence in Mathematics Education Key Learning Area. This honour recognises his excellent teaching practices and high degree of professionalism. This also reflects the effectiveness of our teaching teams' strategies which are being recognised.

In 2019, our teacher won the Silver Award in the Project NET New Media Literacy Teaching Plan Competition organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. He also won the "International Outstanding E-Teaching Award (2020/21) History and Humanities Education e-Teaching Application" awarded by the Electronic Learning Development Laboratory of the University of Hong Kong.

Our Physical Education Panel Head won the School Outstanding Coach Award in the 2016 Jockey Club Hong Kong Excellent Coach Election hosted by the Hong Kong Coach Training Committee and affirmed his performance in leading the school volleyball team.

In 2020, our STEM teacher, being the convener of the STEM team, participated in the 22nd Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition organized by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association and won the Certificate of Commendation for Excellent STEM Teachers.

Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, extra-curricular activities, co-curricular activities, etc.):
