Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2023 ).Applicants and their parents should recognise our school philosophy. Our school will take the applicants’ academic performance in P.5 and P.6 conduct, participation in extra-curricular activities and performance in interviews into consideration for admission to F. 1. Orientation Activities and Healthy Living

Our orientation programmes aim to lay a solid foundation for students regarding their studies in the years to come. Through F.1 English Summer Courses, F.1 Orientation Day and F.1 Bridging Course, together with F.1 Life Camp, we aim at fostering students' development, cultivating a sense of belonging among students and parents' better understanding of our school.
The physical, mental and spiritual well-being of our students are our key concern. We put emphasis on the six aspects of developments of our students. We have arranged all F.1 and F.2 students to have class periods, which are hold by two class teachers. We also have life education, 'Dream Set Sail' programme and Alpha Course, we cultivate positive culture, educate students with positive values, and assist students to understand their own needs, we have the vision of leading students to live a healthy and balanced life.

School Management Organisation:
Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) of the school is the highest decision making and management committee of the school. The Principal co-ordinates all the administrative work within the school context, with vice-principals, assistant principal and various department heads assist in handling various school issues.

Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee:
The Incorporated Management Committee is made up of experts from the religion, education, social welfare, engineering and commercial sectors. There are members representing our teachers, parents as well as the alumni. The Incorporated Management Committee plays an active role in school administration. In addition to monitoring the management of the school, its sub-committees give support to us in accomplishing various tasks.

Learning and Teaching Plan

Whole-school Language Policy:
Besides the use of learners' first language, Cantonese, in the classroom, students are encouraged to develop their English skills. Our school has two native English-speaking teachers, who are responsible for conducting activities in the English World. The English department offers students English Tutorial Class, English Writing Class, English Musical Class, English Bazaar and English Day Camp. The Chinese department also provides Chinese Tutorial Class and Chinese Writing Class. Reading Scheme is implemented in both Chinese and English. Verse Speaking Contests and Debates are also organised. We welcome students to participate in Speech Festivals. We have Putonghua lessons for junior form students to enable students to master the language.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:
Much teaching has been conducted using Information Technology. Self-motivated lessons and STEM education are well developed. School-based curriculum development, which encourages teacher-student and student-student interaction, and project learning are the key elements of all subjects. A wide variety of activities like study tours are organized. Students are encouraged to read extensively and participate in inter-school academic activities. We offer a wide range of subjects for students, which include traditional Arts, Science and Commercial subjects, Life Education, Putonghua, Music, Home Economics and Information and Communication Technology, Tourism and Hospitality, Physical Education, Visual Arts (HKDSE Syllabus) and Other Learning Experiences class. Manpower is delegated to implement small class teaching, organising enrichment and enhancement tutorial. Through co-planning of lesson, Doing Assignments Together, F.1 and F.2 Homework Policy, Pre-exam revision week, after school tutorial classes, summer classes and weekend tutorial classes, we enhance students' effectiveness in learning.

2. Curriculum highlights: To cater for students' learning diversities, school-based curriculum is available in Chinese, English, Mathematics, Liberal Studies, Life and Society and Life Education. Teaching materials and worksheets are tailor-made. To develop students' generic skills, enquiry learning is employed in various subjects. Through collaborative learning and project learning, the lessons have become interactive. Various extra-curricular activities are organized to enrich students’ other learning experiences. There are talks, dramas, English bazaar, competitions, study tours, etc. to promote independent learning.
In order to develop students' personal potential and interests through different experiences, we provide Other Learning Experience, including PE, Music, Local cultural exploration and social services.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
1. Reading to learn: The whole-school extensive reading programmes, morning reading sessions and enhancing services of the school library, we cultivate a good reading habit in our students.
2. Information Technology: Interactive Smart Whiteboards are installed in all classrooms to encourage E-learning and enhance students' motivation.
3. Project learning: The school-based curriculum has taught our students project learning techniques. They are given opportunities to display their projects.
4. Moral and Civic Education: Through voluntary works on the elderly and the mentally ill persons, we cultivate students to have a serving heart and has been granted the 'Heart to Heart School' from 2007-2019.

Life Planning Education:
Life Planning programmes, mock interviews, work placement or trial work programmes are designed for students to better know the work environments. Talks on various tertiary institutes and career experience activities are organised in order to enable students to set goals for their future. We have also joined the Project We Can Scheme organised by The Wharf (Holdings) Ltd., Alibaba Cloud Computing Programme to facilitate students exploring and developing their talents for better life planning.

Student Support

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
We nurture our students to take care of classmates with special educational needs. We equip our teachers with professional knowledge to cater for learner diversity. Our school employs extra teachers and works with various service providers to provide tailor-made programmes and services for students with special educational needs. We also have social workers, educational psychologist and a term headed by Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to cater for students diversity. Students who have physical needs can have access to the lift in school.

Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
Our school is committed to creating an inclusive and caring campus to support the students with SEN using the Whole School Approach. We have set up a Student Support Team (SST) to plan, implement and review student support services. The SST consists of the vice principal, SENCO, counselors, guidance teachers, social workers, teaching assistants, school-based Speech Therapist and the educational psychologist. The SST formulates appropriate guidelines and procedures to ensure that subject teachers concerned are informed about the suggested support measures for the students so that they can understand students’ development. To help cater for learner diversity, we design Individual Education Plans (IEPs). In the course of planning, implementing and reviewing the support measures, we communicate and collaborate with parents, so as to provide the most appropriate support for the students. We use the Learning Support Grant (LSG) flexibly to provide more comprehensive services for the students with SEN such as occupational therapy and clinical psychological service etc. Besides, we make special examination arrangements in accordance with students’ individual needs such as giving extra time and providing technical aids, appropriate examination venue/seating arrangement. School provides support programmes and assistive facilities according to student’s abilities and needs, so that they can learn in the least restrictive environment.

Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment:
2 examinations and 1 subject test are held every year, together with F.5 uniform tests, as both formative and summative assessment for students. We assess students' academic performance via school-based assessment, students' assignments, project learning as well as students' performance in class. School-based worksheets and assignments are designed to cater for learner diversity. For uniform tests and examinations, there are flexibilities in terms of length and content to cater for learner diversity, catering to students' different learning needs.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos

Home-School Co-operation:
Our Parent-teacher Association (PTA) was established in 2000. Every year, PTA organises a wide range of activities for parents, teachers and students. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in school activities, PTA activities and Parent-School activities. Parents generally support, trust and appreciate the work of the school. There are parent representatives in the School Management Committee, the Trading Operations Supervision Committee and Tendering Committee. The home-school co-operation facilitates the long-term development of our school.

School Ethos:
Our school aims at cultivating students' self-discipline, respect and care for others. We have a comprehensive award-punishment system for students to observe. We put great emphasis on students' behaviour and attitudes both within and outside school. Through moral, religious and life education, and a project named 'S. 3 Dream set sail' organised by Students' Development Team, we aim at better and whole person development of our students. Moreover, we offer Secondary One Adaptation Programme, Life Education in The Movie, S. 6 Graduation Camp and Farewell for graduates. In recent years, the Religious Team has introduced the 'Alpha Course', 'Gospel Camps', 'Christian Fellowship' for students. Different counselling programmes are organised for various forms to take care of students' mental health. We have also joined the 'Thematic Network on Promoting Wellness in School'. Co-form teachers system is implemented in various forms to provide extra care for students. The Whole school approach fosters a caring, supportive school culture for the students to learn and develop. With the efforts of teachers and students, we have been awarded the Caring School Award for the past years.

Teacher Professional Training and Development:
The Staff Development Team at our school launches a number of Staff Development Days each year. In addition, allowances are available for teachers to encourage them to pursue further studies.

Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, extra-curricular activities, co-curricular activities, etc.):
More than 60 extra-curricular activities are offered to our students, including student bodies (Students’ Union, the Four Houses, Physical Education Committee), uniform teams (Boys' Scout, Red Cross), sports teams (swimming, athletics, canoeing, cheering team, triathlon, basketball, football, volleyball, handball, table tennis, badminton, bowling and various ball teams, Korean dance and skipping team), religious teams (Christian Fellowship, Alpha Course), music groups (choir, philharmonic, Zheng), Arts activities, Photography Club, Drama Club, Chinese Dance, magic class, Handicrafts Group as well as academic clubs and interest groups. Experienced coaches are hired for some school teams of ball games. This year, painting team, screenplay writing team and stage makeup team will be added.

Each year, our school organises study tours and leadership training workshops such as outbound training for students. We also encourage students to take part in voluntary work such as the Elder Academy to serve the local elderly.

The rationale of our school: every student is loved by God and blessed with various gifts by God. Our school was awarded:
1. Outstanding Award in "Outstanding Teaching Award for Moral Education" co-organised by the Education Bureau and Winsor Education Foundation.
2. Overall Champion in "Men and Women's Canoe Group Competition" organised by Hong Kong Canoe Union.
3. Our school cheering team represented Kwai Tsing district to participate in the "18 Districts' Pledging cum Cheering Team Competition" and was awarded The Most Popular Team Award.
