Whole-school Language Policy:
Starting from 1997, we adopted Chinese as the medium of instruction and paid great attention to English learning. Besides employing a regular native-speaking English teacher, additional native English tutors are employed to enhance the English ability of our students. Activities such as the Extensive Reading Scheme, English Week, English Debate Training, the English Club and the International Culture Club have been organized. English Corner was also set up to enhance English learning. EMI has been introduced for some selected subjects in senior form from 2009 onwards and junior form from 2010.
Language Across Curriculum (LAC) learning modules were designed by the collaboration of English and other subject teachers in recent years. The implementation of LAC enabled students to learn across different subjects.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:
Active and self-directed learning is the focal point of our school students. Teachers use different teaching approaches, such as class discussion and interactive e-learning to encourage students to build up the habit of active learning. Furthermore, we will arrange activities such as site visits, field trips and leadership training camps in order to widen students' horizons. The school curriculum is tailor-made to suit students' diversities. A committee of curriculum has been formed in order to refine the learning materials and develop good learning strategies for students. Collaborative lesson planning and preparation among teachers are highly encouraged in order to explore different ways to motivate students to learn. Information technology is used in daily teaching to enhance learning effectiveness.
Chinese and English Reading Schemes are carried out in order to strengthen students' reading habits. Reading periods are arranged for all students.

School-based curriculum:
1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Students may choose PE (Network program), Math Extended Module or Applied Learning Course.
2. Curriculum highlights: Our curriculum is designed with reference to the latest curriculum guide of EDB. We focus at developing the self-directed learning ability of students. Value education and character building are incorporated in the curriculum in order to foster perseverance and gratefulness.
At the subject level, the curriculum is tailored in order to integrate elements of self-directed learning into different modules. Multi-level curriculums supplemented with various activities are implemented in order to cater for the needs of diversified learners so that students' inmost potential can be developed.


Development of the Four Key Tasks:
1. Reading: Our school has reading periods. All students and teachers read together during the reading periods. In addition, Reading Award Scheme and book sharing sessions are introduced in order to promote reading culture in school.
2. Information Technology: The whole campus is Wi-Fi covered. All classrooms in our school have networked computers and projectors installed. As BOYD (Bring Your Own Device) was introduced in our college in 2020-2021 to promote e-learning, students and teachers often use IT equipment as learning and teaching aids. We also have different online learning modules for students' self-learning.
3. Project Study: Project Studies are conducted in all levels. They include data collection, field studies and experimental investigations. These studies enable students to build up their learning skills and develop them as active learners. Our students' project work won different Hong Kong and national awards in recent years.
4. Civic and Moral Education: Civic and Moral Education is a main concern of our school. In order to build up students' character and let them understand their rights and responsibilities, we have activities such as class teacher periods, morning assemblies, assembly lessons, religious studies lessons, Student Union, Civic Education Group and School Regulation Council.

Life Planning Education:
Life planning is an ongoing and lifelong process for personal fulfillment, with different foci at different stages of our the lifetime. Our life planning team fosters students’ self-understanding, personal planning ability, goal setting ability, reflective habits of mind and articulation to progression pathways. In addition to assisting students to choose subjects or careers, our life planning team connects with the school’s curriculum component. Through it, students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude to make wise choices in accordance with their interests, abilities and orientations; and guided to integrate their career/academic aspirations with whole-person development and life-long learning.

Our life planning and career development model consist of three components: “Self Understanding and Development”, “Career Exploration” and “Career Planning and Management”. Our ultimate goal is to see all students, irrespective of their abilities, orientations and levels of study, being able to:
- understand their own career/academic aspirations;
- develop positive attitudes towards work and learning;
- integrate their career/academic aspirations into whole-person development and life-long learning; and
- utilize the acquired knowledge, skills and attitudes whenever necessary.
