Orientation Activities and Healthy Living
1. The S.1 Orientation programme is conducted to help S.1 students adapt to secondary school life and their parents to have a better understanding of the school culture and policies. The school also provides summer foundation and bridging courses to help students adapt to context of learning in a secondary school.
2. The school pays great attention to students’ physical and mental health. Apart from promoting nutritional diet among students through provision of dietary lunch boxes and activities like "Fruit Day", the school also cultivates students’ mental health by organizing and participating in voluntary services.

Learning and Teaching Plan
Whole-school Language Policy:
We put a lot of efforts on developing students' biliterate and trilingual abilities. We aim to create a language-rich environment for students to learn English in the campus. English is the medium of instruction for a majority of subjects in junior and senior forms. All subjects are taught in English, except Chinese Language, Chinese History, Putonghua, Life and Society, Liberal Studies (S.6), Citizenship and Social Development (S.4 & S.5), Design and Technology (STEAM), Visual Arts, Tourism and Hospitality Studies, Positive Values Education, Liberal Arts Education, Physical Education and Other Learning Experiences. All morning assemblies will be conducted in English, Putonghua and Cantonese.
Learning and Teaching Strategies:
A team of professional and experienced teaching staff are committed to develop our students’ whole-person, helping them become biliterate and trilingual and competent with IT skills to meet the challenges of the future. Through the promotion of cooperative learning, learning in IT, lesson preparation and multiple instructional strategies, we develop students’ self-regulated learning ability, creativity and potentials.

1. Electives: 2X and 3X. The school provides various combinations of elective subjects. In 2022/2023, senior students may choose to study 2 or 3 elective subjects according to their individual circumstances.

Curriculum highlights: The school offers a balanced and diversified junior curriculum which covers 15 subjects including Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, Science and Life and Society. In senior forms, apart from the four compulsory subjects, students can select arts, science or commercial subjects. Furthermore, the school offers Positive Values Education, which incorporates Moral, Civic and National Education, Health and Environmental education, so as to cultivate whole-person development in students.
Development of the Four Key Tasks:
1. The school pays much attention to the promotion of Moral, Civic and National Education. The school strikes to cultivate among the students positive values and good character.
2. The school actively promotes Reading across the Curriculum. For junior forms, there is one reading period in each 7-day teaching cycle. Subjects are encouraged to organize cross-curricular reading activities for the whole school.
3. To promote Project Learning, the school has set up a Project Learning Team to plan and coordinate interactive project-learning activities based on Chinese culture, STEM and life planning for all junior form students. Students are allowed to freely choose the areas of interest. Teachers are arranged to guide the students to complete the tasks at different stages of project learning.

Student Support
Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
1. To cater for our students’ diverse needs, the school set up the post of SEN Coordinator and the Gifted Education Team. A comprehensive information system is built up to help teachers to identify our students’ potentials in various aspects and arrange suitable courses for them, which encourages them to unleash their potentials and attain self-advancement.
2. Diversified extra-curricular activities for our students are organized by the Four Houses and 37 clubs with a view to creating various life-wide learning opportunities for them to unleash their potentials.
Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
1. The Discipline Team and Guidance Team works closely with the resident education psychologists and the school social workers. They provide individual and professional counselling and support to students and parents.
2. The Special Learning Support Unit is committed to assisting students with special educational needs through a Whole School Approach. 46.2% of teachers have received systematic professional training on Special Educational Needs. The school engages two teaching assistants to support the team by using the EDB Grant and has the provision of the Speech Therapist Services. The team also outsources professional services, such as STEM classes, social skills training and psychotherapy services.

Home-School Co-operation:
Set up in 1994, the PTA has striven to promote home-school cooperation and encourage parents’ engagement and support for school programmes. Besides offering scholarships and subsidies for students’ activities, the PTA established the "Parent Volunteer Team" to act as instructors for interest groups and adjudicators for different competitions.
School Ethos:
With the whole-school approach of discipline and counseling, the school has created a disciplined yet caring and harmonious learning atmosphere for the students. The three Staff Development Days are organized each year to encourage the teachers to share their professional knowledge and boost their professional competences so as to keep up with the trend of educational development. The staff is encouraged to participate in peer and open lesson observations to enhance the effectiveness of learning and teaching. The staff members are highly motivated to develop professionally by attending courses and seminars organized by different organisations to keep abreast of the new curriculum trends and educational reforms.
