Under school-based management, we have established a clear administrative framework and staff appraisal system. In 1998, the Staff Committee was founded by school directors, teachers, student parents and independent parties. For openly collecting information and opinions to continuously improve the school, we registered with the government the foundation of Parents and Teachers Association in 2000.

Learning and Teaching Plan
Whole-school Language Policy:
To implement the biliterate and trilingual strategy, we encourage students to learn the languages through classroom teaching and extra curricular activities. In order to enhance students' overall language proficiency, we implement numerous measures and activities such as Extensive Reading Scheme, English Fridays & English week, Read Aloud Scheme, frequent assembly sharings, Chinese Culture week, debates English Camp and study tours.
Besides, our English teachers have been collaborating closely with the Campus TV to promote the broadcasting of students' performances and participation in various activities, which highly enhances students' confidence in using English in their daily lives.
Learning and Teaching Strategies:
Our focus of the year is to enhance the generic skills of students through E-Learning and enhance student's overall English proficiency by taking a whole-school approach. Teachers design tailor-made learning activities and after-class assignments by adopting different educational Apps. Besides, Curricula will be evaluated by subject panels so as to determine the core and extended parts to be included in order to achieve maximum learning outcome. In order to cater for learning diversity, teachers will constantly create and review different sets of learning materials to ensure every student is being taught at their level. Teachers will also enhance the quality of the design of test and exam papers so a more accurate assessment of students’ learning effectiveness can be carried out. Our school also places a strong emphasis on teaching-learning interaction. Teachers are encouraged to strategically utilize high-order questions to stimulate our students. Moreover, collaboration approach will be adopted to train the generic skills of students. We also put emphasis on the design of students' assignments.
Teachers are encouraged to give prompt and concrete feedback to students according to the performance of the assignments. The above strategies aim at promoting the teaching effectiveness in school. We aim to aid our students to develop good reading habits and positive attitude. This can promote the atmosphere of self-regulated learning. The school adopts a flexible timetable in order to cater for various educational goals. The morning reading sessions are scheduled every Day2, Day4 and Day6 to promote the reading atmosphere in school. Apart from the four core subjects, senior form students could enroll in three electives according to their interest and ability. In addition to our morning reading sessions, moral education, physical education, arts education, applied learning courses and other learning experiences would also provide a diversified, stimulating and comprehensive school education to our students.
School-based curriculum:
1. Electives: 3X. Students select three electives from 13 subjects.
2. Curriculum highlights: The Academic Committee is responsible for the supervision and coordination of curriculum planning. External consultants are invited to facilitate curriculum development. The school carries out Reading Across Curriculum scheme for junior form students to enhance their language proficiency and the self-regulated learning ability. The Creative Technology Education is implemented in S.1 - S.3 this year to enhance the motivation and creativity of the students through STEAM elements. Project-Learning curriculum is implemented to enhance the generic skills of students. For senior form students, apart from the core subjects and elective subjects, Applied Learning Curriculum is adopted to meet the needs of students with different interests and abilities.
Development of the Four Key Tasks:
Four Key Tasks are emphasized in order to boost the learning effectiveness of students. Project-Learning curriculum is implemented in S.2 to enhance the generic skills and learning effectiveness of students. Our Reading team and school library implement numerous activities to broaden the spectrum of students' interests and learning, which reinforces their knowledge foundation. A moral education session is held every Day 2- hall assemblies and class gatherings are held to address specific issues such as sex, national and environmental education. The school also encourages teachers and students to use IT in teaching and learning through Google Classroom. Our school has set up the "Classroom of Wisdom", in attempt to improve different facilities to promote teaching and learning effectiveness. This includes the establishment of the Wi-Fi 900 network, installation of Smart Blackboard and the purchase of iPad for E-Learning.
Life Planning Education:
The Careers and Guidance Committee is responsible for the planning of the whole-school policy on the Career and Life Planning education. The content includes Career and Life Planning lessons, workshops and seminars, visits and field-trips, Life-planning camp (S.5), face-to-face counselling program (S.6) and exchange tours. The aim of the above activities is to enhance our students' self-understanding and facilitate goal-setting to help them prepare for the future.

Student Support
Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
According to students' own abilities, the assessment on SEN are carried out to evaluate and adjust their learning activities with help from students' parents and also the professional support from the school social worker and educational psychologist. School will also hire experts to provide counselling services for SEN students, for example : Speech Therapist. Moreover, the school will adjust the curriculum, pedagogy and assessment to cater for students' learning diversity.
Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
Student Curriculum Supporting Team is established to coordinate programmes for students with different educational needs. Case conferences will be held to discuss the strategies for supporting students. The content includes social skills training, language therapy, learning skills training, etc. Education Psychologist will hold interviews with students regularly to monitor the progress of the programmes.
External consultants are invited to provide professional advice to us in organizing supporting programmes for students. Moreover, professional training programmes are organized in order to enhance the pedagogical knowledge of our teachers.
For uniform tests and examinations, extra time will be given to students with special education needs. This policy can provide assistance to students to achieve better results in assessments.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
Home-School Co-operation:
The Parent-Teacher Association was established in 2000, parents support the educational goals of school and actively participate in various school functions. Parents meeting is held in December while Parents Day in February. These functions facilitate the communication between parents and teachers for the guidance of students. The Parent-Teacher Association organizes various kinds of activities and training courses for parents to foster the cooperation between parents and school. It also reinforces a sense of belonging for the students.
School Ethos:
Having an immaculate ethos, we are concerned with every single student. We work in team spirit to practise our counseling jobs to help each student in his/her education and growth. Concerned with upgrading our education standard, we invite resources from the community and other outside parties. Together with school counselors and psychologists, we provide students with complete services for counseling, and contact students' parents regularly. Various award schemes are founded. Programmes for improvement of behaviours and study are also provided for students in need. In 2001, the Student Union was founded to encourage students to develop their potentials in leadership and cooperation. The Alumni of the College was established in January 2004 too.

Future Development
School Development Plan:
Our priority concern of the year is to enhance students' overall English proficiency by adopting a well-rounded approach. Some of the measures include improving the language learning environment, employing additional NETs and attending public English language assessments. Besides, we hope to uplift students' information literacy and to strengthen their positive learning attitude. Last but not least, we will instill and reinforce students' moral and values education through diversified learning activities.
Teacher Professional Training and Development:
In this academic year, there are five preparatory meetings for every subject to enable teachers to discuss the educational issues so as to improve the teaching effectiveness. Teachers are encouraged to participate in the training courses and seminars in order to promote professionalism. The set-up of preparation periods helps us to improve our teaching quality. To develop and reinforce the self-appraisal mechanism, we have boosted up the effect on learning and teaching. Academic Committee implements the cross subject lesson observation practice; teachers have the opportunity to learn more about the different teaching methodology of different subjects. It helps teachers polish the teaching techniques and improve the teaching effectiveness.
Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, extra-curricular activities, co-curricular activities, etc.):
Diverse activity groups are provided and categorized as academia, music, interests, art, servicing, recreation, sports etc. Annual competitions among houses and classes will be held during the year.
